Prescription Addiction Quiz

Prescription drugs cause most of the more than 26,000 fatal overdoses each year.  Painkiller addiction has itself risen to epidemic proportions in this country with pharmacies, hospitals and physicians dispensing the equivalent of 69 tons of pure oxycodone and 42 tons of pure hydrocodone in 2010.

And as the epidemic grows so does the problem with finding non-drug solutions to the very real problems people face such as chronic pain, upsets and anxieties.  It’s a difficult, stressful and demanding world we live in and prescriptions that deaden the senses are submerge the problems are not the solution.

But what if someone has already become addicted to a painkiller or other prescription drug?  That person needs real help.  He or she needs a program that not only helps them get off those drugs, but assists in getting back into life.

Finding the best treatment solutions for addiction has always been a problem.  One program might work for one individual but not be affordable or even workable for another.  And there has been no place an addict or their family could turn to where they could get guidance in getting the treatment protocol that will work best for them.

A group called Get Off Meds (GetOffMeds.com) specializes in connecting a prescription drug addict with the treatment program that’s right for them.

But the first step to getting any kind of treatment is understanding whether or not there is a problem.  The Prescription Addiction Quiz is a great place to go to address this.  You can fill out the quiz, which is interesting in itself, and then you get a chance to talk to a counselor who not only understands addiction but knows the major workable treatment options as well.
